Rosanne Korinek

Rosanne specializes in lessons for adult women. She enjoys giving lessons to the student who want to learn better communication with their horse. Rosanne focuses on the horse as a whole. Ground work is considered as important as actual riding. The student with Rosanne can enjoy their experience with the horse whatever their ultimate goals may be. Rosanne's mission is to make riding and working with the horse an enjoyable experience, where one can learn in a comfortable, supportive atmosphere.

Rosanne has ridden and trained horses since she was 10, showing, hunt seat, western and speed events. As an adult she enjoys learning and growing in the horse experience. Seeking out more education and other opportunities in the equine field is a priority with Rosanne.  She has attended The Horse Gathering two years in a row, which is a week-long intensive study week on all phases of the horse industry, including dentistry, farrier, chiropracty, massage, saddle fit, and balanced riding.   She continues to learn new techniques by reading, attending clinics and taking lessons.  She has trained with Lee Smith, Vitor Silva,  Mark Rashid, Terry Church, and Peggy Cummings and enjoys sharing her knowledge.  Rosanne would like to share the fun and enjoyment horses can bring.  Horseback riding is such an excellent sport for everyone, but woman in particular as it improves balance, builds bone mass, is aerobic, and is a wonderful mental getaway!

Don Korinek

Don's true specialty is with ground work and in the round pen. If you want to understand the horse's body language, he is the person. Don enjoys working with you and your horse to establish a connection that will guide you through many obstacles. If you are having a particular problem, he probably has an answer as he has a great eye for what it is that you are doing that may be creating the problem! Don enjoys having horses come in for training.

Don has ridden all his life and has been training for the past 14 years.  He continues to seek out more education himself and recently attended the Horse Gathering in Estes Park two years in a row which entailed a week-long intensive study on all aspects of the horse.  Training, Equine Dentistry, Rider Awareness, Saddle Fitting and Horse Chiropracty were some of the topics covered.   Don continues to ride in clinics with Lee Smith, Terry Church, Curt Pate, and  Mark Rashid.

Leanne Korinek

Leanne grew up around the horses at Lakefield Farm and has been a large part of the program here. Leanne does an exceptional job of teaching the young rider the skills that it takes to work with a horse and to learn how to handle them in the saddle as well as on the ground. If you are looking for enthusiasm, safety, and a great learning experience, you will enjoy working with Leanne. Leanne has extensive background in riding having worked with trainers and clinicians in the United States as well as Germany. Leanne excels at seeing patterns that may be holding a rider back and has the ability to give the rider the skills to develop their potential. Whether your goals are in western, English, jumping or dressage, Leanne can help you get there. If you have a horse that needs to be started or just needs some refreshing, Leanne is also available to work with your horse.
